Ann V. Bradley, of Skaneateles, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on October 1, 2026, at the age of 94. She was born on October 9, 1931 in Bloomfield, New Jersey to Dr. and Mrs. Harold G. Van der Veer. Ann graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1949 and Lasell Jr. College in 1951. After graduation from college Ann’s parents bought property on Skaneateles Lake.

Ann will be remembered for her deep love of family, her faith, and the simple joys that made life meaningful to her. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Skaneateles, where she especially enjoyed singing in the church choir, as well as the choir in the Presbyterian Church in Naples, Florida for many years. Her church family was an important part of her life.

Ann also had a great love for the outdoors. Craig and Ann spent many years traveling in their RV until finally settling in Bonita Springs for the winters. They belonged to Skaneateles Country Club where she played golf in many leagues. She enjoyed snow skiing, watching golf, football and baseball, bird watching, boat rides, and spending time at the lake with her family. Her quiet moments she spent knitting sweaters or blankets for her family. These activities brought her great happiness! Many cherished memories were made surrounded with family and time spent on and around the beauty of Skaneateles Lake.

Ann was predeceased by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Harold Van der Veer, her beloved husband, Willis Craig Bradley; her step-son, Richard Bradley; step-daughter, Cassandra Bradley and her step-grandson, Jeff Bradley and son-in-law Jack Freyer.

Ann is survived by her brother, David (Katy) Van der Veer; her daughter, Deborah Severance; her son, Cooper Bradley; her step-daughter, Barbie Freyer; and her grandchildren, Daniel (Bridie) Severance, Adam (Hannah) Severance, Melissa (Collin O’Toole) Severance, Scott (Megan) Bradley, Lauren Monforte, and Sarah (Larry) Freyer, and several nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.

Ann leaves behind a loving family and a lifetime of memories that will be treasured by all who knew her. Her love of family, music, faith, nature, and the lake will remain a lasting part of her legacy. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

We would like to thank the caregivers that helped our Mom over the past several years. Their wonderful care and love they had for her made her journey with comfort.

A funeral service celebrating Ann’s life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Skaneateles on October 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are welcome to gather to honor and remember Ann immediately following the service at a reception in the Dobson Fellowship Hall in the church.

In lieu of flowers a donation to honor Ann’s memory may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Skaneateles or the Skaneateles Lake Association at www.skaneateleslake.org.
