Burt A. Jordan, 68, a loving father and grandpa, passed away in his home in Mottville on April 22, 2025. Born on June 5, 1956 in Syracuse, Burt grew up in Mottville and graduated from Skaneateles High School.
After graduation, he began his career as a machinist, dedicating 30 plus years before retiring from Goulds Pump in Seneca Falls. He then spent the next several years maintaining the grounds of Lake View Cemetery in Skaneateles.
Burt loved hockey, playing Defense for the Syracuse Jr. Blazers. He later continued his passion with coaching and cheering on his son - always sitting/standing opposite from the crowd so he could yell loudly. Burt raced dirt bikes and enjoyed snowmobiling. He enjoyed “toys” and tinkering in the garage.
He never said no when asked to use his garage or help fix something. He also enjoyed the family trait of hunting for many years. Burt was a simple man, proud and stubborn. To know him was to love him.
Burt is survived by his heartbroken children, Jessica (Jordan) Giangreco (Kevin) and Gregory Jordan (Kerry); his grandchildren, Aurora and Miller Giangreco; and his sister, Nancy Carmody (daughter Erin).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Bob” and Barbara “BJ” Jordan; his siblings, Dorothy “Dotty” Jordan and Robert “Bruce” Jordan.

Burt was a great friend. We will miss you.
To the family of Burt,
I am sorry for your loss. He was a great guy and a great friend to my dad. They both grew up together on the same road. I'll cherish the memories but the biggest one is my dad and I stopping by when I was a kid and going to the garage and I starring at the lifted truck and seeing what he was tinkering with. He was always doing something. He will be missed by many.
Greg and Family. Burt loved you all very much! He was one of my favorite players to watch at Allyn arena when I was alittle kid. He loved to watch you play hockey Greg, and talked about how the game played out - win or lose. You are in our hearts and prayers during these very difficult times. Love Jerry and the rest of the Morrissey family.
Sorry for your loss. I have so many great memories. 68 Chevelle, rebuilding engine., snowmobiling up north, high school, might have had a beer or two together, my photographer when I got married, best stepbrother in law anyone could have. no more pain. I WILL MISS YOU
Good bye to my oldest and dearest friend since grade school. He will certainly be missed. Bob
