Great memories of having coffee and talking with Gary at the Spafford Hilton. One of the kindest men I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.

I first met Gary when I was assigned as a newbie ECO covering south Onondaga County. We did many a boat patrol on Otisco Lake where I learned a lot and picked up a few tricks.

He was an old school Game Warden and his stories provided an unedited history of DLE and our ECO's.

Whatever the public thought of Gary, he was unforgettable. My prayers and condolences goes out to his friends and family.

Gary was a longstanding fixture in DEC’s Region 7 Division of Law Enforcement program and a pleasure to spend time talking with. My deepest condolences to the family.

Gary was a wonderful man and role model. I met Gary through my Aunt Madeline Buell. I spent hours talking to him about fishing and did spend some time fishing with him. Certainly will be missed by everyone who knew him. I know that I will.
