Howard Edward Roberts 90, passed away at home in Dade City Florida with his wife Betsy by his side. Howard was a
long-time resident of Skaneateles.
Howard was a school bus driver for Skaneateles Central Schools for over 13 years. He also worked with Trabold and Russell Garage as well as a plumbing, heating & electrical contractor. In addition, Howard was the first Code Enforcement Officer in the Town of Skaneateles. Howard was also a Sales Representative for Youngs Fire Equipment in Lancaster, NY.
Howard was part of many different organizations during his life. Since 1960 he was the former president, vice president,
treasurer and captain of the Skaneateles Fire Department. He was over a 50-year member of St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, Skaneateles and St. Anne Catholic Church located in Ridge Manor, Florida.
Howard is predeceased by his parents, Howard and Kathryn Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Betsy Jane Barber Roberts.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 19th at 10 am at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, Skaneateles. Burial will take place in Shepherds Settlement Cemetery, Skaneateles, with a reception to follow at the Skaneateles Fire Department.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Skaneateles Fire Department or to any Parkinson’s Research.

Betsy, I’m sorry to hear about Eddie. I will always remember working with him at Trabold and Russell, his electrical skills in our Skaneateles Falls home, and of course, his school bus driving. I will always remember our camping days with Holiday Rambler.
