Joan R. Len, 86, of Skaneateles, NY, passed away on April 19, 2026.
She was born on October 4, 1938 in Stamford, NY to Bertha (Brown) and Donald Rose. She grew up in Hobart, NY and graduated from South Kortright High School where she excelled in music winning competitions for playing clarinet.
Joan attended Syracuse University and was a book keeper in Syracuse until marrying Joe in 1968 and moving to Skaneateles. There she created a home full of warmth, comfort, and unconditional love while enjoying time at the lake, skiing, and supporting her children’s activities including many hockey games and dance lessons.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; children Michael (Marita), Karen (Terry) and Gregory (Gwendolyn); and grandchildren Nicholas, Kimberly, McKenna, Megan and Joey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha and Donald, sister, Rebecca, and beloved aunts.
Joan will be remembered for her sparkling smile, endless kindness, and deep love of family. She found great joy in her grandchildren, music, animals, and flowers. Her gentle spirit and caring heart will be deeply missed.
A calling hour will be held on Thursday, April 23rd at 10 am at St. Mary's of the Lake Church, Skaneateles with a funeral service to follow at 11 am. Immediately following the service there will be a reception in the parish center.

Mrs. Len was an unfailingly kind person to me in all the years I knew her.
She emanated warmth and had a quiet grace that was remarkable to me even when I was a child. As an adult I came to more fully appreciate how funny and keenly smart she was.
