Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Laura "Marge" Richardson, 93, passed away at Auburn Community Hospital on April 14th, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Mom was born in Marcellus Falls, NY on December 20th, 1931 where she spent her early childhood. In 1948 she married Sam Richardson and settled in Skaneateles Falls where they raised their 3 sons Jim, Ronnie, and Art.
Mom loved to sing at St. Andrew's Church and had many great memories with all her friends there. She also had an artistic side and enjoyed painting and writing poetry. She loved spending time with her family and was the proud grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was a great cook and made the best apple pies, she was also known for her yearly Christmas pickles and hot pepper jelly.
Marge was able to live independently for several years at Village Landings Apts and had the help of many wonderful friends there when needed. We will be forever grateful to them for their unwavering friendship and help.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Sam, and by her son James and his wife Sheryl.
She is survived by her 2 sons Rod "Ronnie" Richardson (Colette) and Art Richardson (Jeanette), her grandchildren; Jamie, Corey, Brian, Greg, Jeff, Michael, Teresa, Jennifer, Christopher, and her great-grandchildren; Sam, Kelsey, Nathan, Haillie, Sam, Ally, and Marlin.

Art,
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at your mother's passing. It's been a long time since our chats about times gone by at the Lodge but never forgotten. Peace and God Bless.

Ron & Family,
I am so saddened to hear about the passing of your mother. I enjoyed spending time with your mom when she roomed with my mom at Fingerlakes, and will be missed dearly by myself, my mom (Jean Prego) and aunt (Patricia Rybash). May she rest in peace with all of the steak and shrimp she could ever want. Michelle Prego-Milewski
My family only knew Marge a short while, she was a wonderful roommate to my mom at Fingerlakes and we will never forget her kindness to mom. We all were very sadden to hear of Marges' passing. God bless. Kate Demers
Rod and family condolences for the loss of your Mom. May she rest in peace.
