Margaret "Peggy" K. Scarpace, age 85, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026. Born on September 15, 1940, and raised in Skaneateles, New York, Peggy later made her home in Dearborn, Michigan, where she devoted herself to raising her family and building a life filled with love, friendship, and service.

Peggy lived a remarkable and meaningful life. She proudly served her country in the United States Air Force, retiring honorably with the rank of Captain. As a Vietnam Field Nurse, she provided compassionate care to those in need and carried the values of service, courage, and dedication throughout her life.

Peggy was the beloved mother of Lisa (James) Marusak, Lucia (Robert) Meehan, Leah Scarpace, and Lauren (Erin) Scarpace. She was the devoted grandmother of Matthew, Maggie, Robbie, Marta, Will, Sabrina, and Olivia, who were truly the lights of her life and brought her endless joy and pride. She is also survived by her siblings, John Keebler, Joan (James) McMahon, and David Keebler; many cherished nieces and nephews; and her dear lifelong friend, Pat (Jeff) Ashley, along with their children, Kristin, Brian, and Kari. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth Keebler, and her siblings, James Keebler and Anne Buehler.

Those who knew Peggy will remember her as a kind, gentle, and caring woman who could make a friend wherever she went. She embraced life wholeheartedly, finding her greatest happiness in the company of family and friends. She took special pride in her beautiful gardens and was known for having some of the most admired flowers in the neighborhood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Divine Child or the Skaneateles Barrow Gallery. Peggy's favorite color was yellow. In her honor, family and friends are encouraged to wear a touch of yellow as they gather to celebrate her life.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 30th at 10 am at Divine Child Catholic Church in Dearborn, MI.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, July 20th at 11 am at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Skaneateles, NY.

Peggy's warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing.
