Marguerite May Squires (Ulincy) of Skaneateles, New York, passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 87 years old, surrounded by family. Maggie as she was known, was born on July 28, 1938, to Joseph and Margaret Ulincy of Solvay.

Maggie is predeceased by her husband Fred, they were married August 3, of 1956 and had 4 children, Bonnie (George) Fay of Baldwinsville, Brenda (Wayne) Smith of Conquest, Karen (Doug) Mead of Elbridge, and Fred Jr (Laurie) of Skaneateles. There are a total of 14 Grand Children and 21 Great Grandchildren within the family.

Maggie worked for 25 years at Syracuse Electronics/Pass & Seymour in Solvay. After a break she went to work at Madison Filter until final retirement.

Maggie is very well known her love of gardening, her landscape was always manicured and colorful. She would spend hours adding plants and working on her new additions. She also had a love of sewing and stitching new themes on shirts.

Her true love and passion was her 68 Camaro that she would show all over Central New York with Fred. They would travel to the different local shows, cruise nights. and spent several years showing the car at the Syracuse Nationals. Nightly you would see mom and dad at Hilltop eating dinner and then going home to lounge in the garage watching everyone drive by. Those days are surely missed.

Services will be held in May with a joint burial with Fred at Lakeview Cemetery. Details to follow with dates and times. A celebration of life will follow the services.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Skaneateles Fire Dept, 77 West Genesee St, Skaneateles, NY, 13152.

The family would like to Thank all the staff on the 3rd floor of the Auburn Commons for their help and love they gave our mother. God Bless you all!!

Fred, so sorry to hear about your Mom.

She was a real pistol. So full of life. Like her son. She will be greatly missed. The end of a generation of special people. She will be with Fred now. Close in the cemetery to my Kathy and Jamie.

Love,

Ted
