Maria G. Krause, 103, of Skaneateles passed away on Tuesday, July 14th at Northwoods Nursing Home in the village of Moravia.

Maria was originally from Cleveland, Ohio. She enjoyed volunteering her time at the St. James Thrift Shop for over 50 years in Skaneateles. She also worked for many years at the First National Gifts store in Skaneateles, NY. She loved playing golf, helping out with the library drive and spending time with her friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Gurman; her loving husband, Robert; and her sister, Gloria Brown.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan; her son, John; her niece, Nancy Casey; two grandchildren, Will and Amanda; and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 17th at 10 am at Lakeview Cemetery, Skaneateles. Donations in her name can be made to St. James Episcopal Church, Skaneateles.
