Ruth Louise Howard

Ruth Louise Howard, age 98, of Sanford, FL, died peacefully at 7:30 am on August 25th. Ruth was born on April 6, 1927, in Bloomfield, NJ to the late Robert and Ruth (Danberg) Franck.

She married John W. Howard on June 20, 1947, in Bloomfield, NJ, and he preceded her in death on January 14, 2018. Ruth is survived by four children - Suellen, Robert (Claire), Joann (Charles Hymes) and Jonathan, ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Ruth was dedicated to her family and loved travel, especially her annual family trips to Santa Barbara, CA. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was active for many years in the Leisure Hour Book Club in Skaneateles, NY. Ruth was passionate about animal welfare and women’s reproductive rights.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Skaneateles on October 1st at 10 am. Memorials may be made in her honor to the ASPCA.
