Sandra A. Patrick, age 86, of Skaneateles, New York, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10th, reuniting with her husband Ron on his 87th birthday. She leaves behind a legacy of deep faith, devotion, and love for her family, neighbors, and friends.
She was born on February 27, 1940, in Auburn, New York, to parents John and Marian Page Shores. She was a proud graduate of Skaneateles Central School District and a lifelong resident of the Skaneateles community.
Sandy was a devout member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in Mottville, New York. Grounded in her faith, she served her church community with a passionate, servant-hearted spirit. She dedicated much of her life to spreading her faith, devotion, and kindness to everyone she met.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Timothy Patrick, and her daughter, Lori (Bernie) DeGraw. She held an untouchable bond with her grandchildren, Kristin Patrick (Steve Simmons), Evan, and Leah DeGraw, and she was adored by her great- granddaughter, Rhylee Simmons.
Sandra was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 42 years, Ron Patrick, who passed away in 2007, her cherished grandson Kyle Patrick, who passed away in 2013, and her sister Rita Hughes, who passed away in 2014.
Each winter, she became a loud and steadfast Syracuse Men’s Basketball fan. There was almost always a puzzle on her table that she was working to finish while drinking her favorite ice-cold Pepsi. Sandy treasured time with her family and was eagerly anticipating Leah’s wedding to Calib DiCicco in September, the start of Rhylee’s senior year of high school, as well as Evan’s master’s degree graduation ceremony. Her joy, enthusiasm, care, and kindness will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 15th at Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, Skaneateles at 11 am with a visiting hour starting at 10. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Skaneateles.
In place of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sandra’s memory to St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in Mottville, New York, to honor her lifetime of faith and service.
