Steven William Short, December 23, 1959 - November 5, 2025, of Claude, Texas. A Skaneateles graduate of the class of 1978 with 50 years in Central New York.
He enjoyed working for Sennett Sales, Montross Farms, Reed Farms, Spano Exc., P + C Foods, Scotch Mountain Farms & Willow Bend Dairy. Most recently retired from Texas Dot.
When not working he enjoyed Moto Cross, team roping, horse pulls, tractor pulls, parades and bowling.
Steven was predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Beverly Short. He is survived by his wife Laurel, son William and daughter Rachel all of Texas. His 9 siblings Connie/Ted Scriven, Mary and Dan Dobrovosky, Martin/Cindy, Carol/Jack Wagner, Gary, Dan/Marge, David/Lori, Scott and Brian.
He was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and God only knows how many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 15 at 2:00 PM at the Claude Texas VFW.
Funeral Services to be held on Saturday, November 29th at Grace Chapel Church, Skaneateles, at 11 am with a reception to follow.

so sorry to get this news. I went way back with Steve. Way back to his Road Runner days. I have not been in touch in years but do remember his love of horses. I have great memories of him along with several members of the Short family. Again sorry to hear about this loss to his friends and family
